A history in colour. Aberdeen FC, Founded 1903. Incorporating the original Aberdeen FC colours founded in 1881. From 1904 to 1939 Aberdeen turned out in a vibrant amber and black striped shirt. The famous red was introduced in March 1939 and they have worn it ever since. In the red shirt they’ve won the top Scottish league 4 times and runners-up 17 times! They’ve won 13 domestic cups (Scottish Cup and League Cup). The red has also brought them some European success, winning the Cup Winner’s Cup and Super Cup in the 1982-83 season, under the guidance of Alex Ferguson.
