Blackpool FC, Tangerine

By Matt Berry

The Tangerines are the first club to wear orange. It is said that in 1923 club director Albert Hargreaves, also an international referee, officiated a Belgium vs Netherlands match. Impressed with the vibrant Dutch strip, he persuaded the club to adopt it.
