Sky Blues: In 1961 Jimmy Hill was appointed manager of Coventry City. He modernised the club’s image and introduced the sky blue strip that we are now so familiar with. He penned The Sky Blue Song in 1962 and guided the club from the Third Division to the First Division in 1967. “Let’s all sing together, Play up Sky Blues, While we sing together, We will never lose. Proud Posh or Cobblers, Oysters or anyone, They can’t defeat us, We’ll fight till the game is won.”
